Saw most of the live stream and enjoyed it very much.

That's music to my weirdly shaped ears. If you ever need some ideas for how to live more of your weird out loud, you know where to find me. Either way, I'll be over here rooting you on like a drunk soccer mom with mustard all over her shirt. 🌭

I caught the Live and you both were terrific!

I'm part of Dre's Kindred Barflies 💖 and it's always a fun experience.

Glad to make your acquaintance. 👋😃

And I've gotta say - being a natural "weirdo" outloud and in full color is 100% therapeutic! Can't recommend it enough.

Cheers!

Kindred Barflies! Ha. What a name. It’s great that you guys have built real community. That’s not an easy thing to pull off.

The whole thing is set up like an underground speakeasy, so barflies was a no-brainer for my loving moniker for members. I'm sooooo proud of what I've been able to build with my kindred barflies. They are the absolute best!

And you host it outside of Substack, right? Where is it at? Why did you choose to take it elsewhere?

I host it on Mighty Networks. I had it there before I discovered Substack.

I thought I was going to move everything over here, but now that I've been on the platform long enough to get the lay of the land I've realized that the platform is great for a lot of things but building true community isn't one of them. There's basically a chat and comments in posts. That's not going to cut it when you want to build true community.

I completely agree. And the chat/comments here really could be improved because they don’t allow you to see the entire conversation at once. You have to click in and out for each individual comment… which makes it really easy to miss things.

Exactly! I really hope they invest in more community features SOON.

Guuurrrlll, you're one of the few who is out their living even more shades of their weird than I am. I'm just trying to catch up to the freedom you hopscotch all over the internet with. 🫶

See? We should have had her on as the guest and we could have quizzed her.

She was in the comments... but I can't process that thing and talk, so I stayed in my sweat-dripping down my back lane. 🤣 You should have her on. She's got a kickass YT channel worth checking out too.

Aww thanks for that 💝 BIG love!

Aaaannndddd.... I JUST burnt that YouTube channel down 😬✨️😁 My personal phoenix (which needs to be a song set to Marilyn Manson's Personal Jesus) squacked that the time was now, and I hit the delete button. 🔥😄🕺🔥

YouTube will be birthed anew, and I've now moved my happy, liberated ass over to Substack 100%.

LinkedIn & FB: ashes are cold, IG: cooling.
